Got Tulips?

Tulips are synonymous with spring. Who doesn’t enjoy their multitude of beautiful colors! And, they come in different bloom shapes and sizes, as well. I took the opportunity to visit a regional tulip farm this week to take in some eye-candy and do what most others do when they visit … take photos … lots of photos! And no, I did not visit the Skagit Valley flower bulb farms in the north Puget Sound area, which are some of the largest in the world. I settle for the smaller ones that don’t get the large crowds. My favorite is Degoede Bulb Farm, located in Mossyrock, WA.  It’s actually located off the main highway just before you enter the city limits. This family owned business has a large nursery filled with everything you need for your flower garden and more, as well as a gorgeously manicured outdoor, walking garden, and a gift shop. Here’s a bit of that eye-candy I was talking about.

  1. Gorgeous shots!

We have a tulip festival here in May each year since after the end of the Second World War, a thank you from the Dutch government that took off from there. Given the way the spring has gone, the last weekend of the festival might be the brightest.

Thank you!
