Still Some Blooms at the Garden

The majority of the spring blooms at the Rhododendrons Species Botanical Garden, in Federal Way, is over. So sad! But there are still Azaleas that are in bloom and some that are just starting to bloom. The Blue Poppies are still in bloom, and the much awaited Giant Himalayan Lilies are beginning to bloom. A few more days and they will be fabulous! But wait! There are other garden companion plants blooming. One just has to be observant and be on the look-out for them on the many trails that meander through the natural woodland garden. Here’s a sample of what I found blooming. The unlabeled images are varieties of rhododendrons and azaleas.

I want to thank all who have been following along with me as I documented all the beautiful blooms at the gardens for the past few months. And on a personal note, I would like to acknowledge and thank all the volunteers and master gardeners at the garden for their hard labor and efforts in making this little garden of Eden possible for all to experience and enjoy throughout the year.  It just keeps getting better!
